How to use a Gourmet DipKit!

Just add your favorite Gourmet DipKit to 1 cup of regular, low fat, or fat free sour cream and 1 cup mayonnaise or 2 cups of plain yogurt, regular, low fat, or fat free and serve with potato chips, tortilla chips, pretzels, crackers or raw veggies.

For a personal serving of a cream cheese spread, just mix 3 tbls. of softened cream cheese and 1 tsp. of your favorite Gourmet DipKit spices together and serve with bagels or crackers.

After preparing your Gourmet DipKit, it can be used instead of mayonnaise in chicken salad, tuna salad, or pasta salads for a real taste treat.

Herbs should be used with discretion. More is never better! A good rule of thumb is to use 1/4 teaspoon of a dried herb for a recipe that serves 4. You can then increase this amount according to your taste 

How to store spices and herbs:
Spices and herbs should be stored away from the exposure to heat, moisture and direct     sunlight.

NOTE: Some of my recipes call for Olive Oil. Here are the different types of Olive Oil and how to use them: 
Extra Virgin Olive Oil -
Best used for dipping, meat rubs and salad dressings.
Pure Olive Oil -
Best used for grilling and sautéing.
Light Olive Oil -
Best used for baking and frying.

ZESTY FIESTA TACO HOTDISH

You will need:
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef 
1/2 of a Zesty Fiesta Salsa Gourmet DipKit
Cook burger and onions and drain. Then add 1/2 pkg. of Gourmet DipKits Zesty Fiesta Salsa Spices and 1/4 cup of water. Mix well and simmer til the water is gone.
1 cup (8 oz.) tomato sauce
3/4 cup water
1 can (14 oz.) drained, diced tomatoes
1 pkg. (12 count) corn taco shells, broken and divided or you can substitute: 
1/2 of a 13 oz. bag of broken Tortilla chips.
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Use after baking as a garnish: chopped tomato, finely chopped green bell pepper and sour cream

To assemble:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 11x7 inch baking dish (cake pan). In a medium kettle, add the onion to the burger and brown and drain real well. In the same kettle, cook taco meat as directed above. Then add tomato sauce, water, drained tomatoes to the taco meat and bring to a low boil. Remove from heat.

Layer half of the broken shells or broken Tortilla chips on bottom of prepared baking dish. Cover with half the meat mixture; sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheese and repeat. Bake 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted. Serve with desired toppings.
